I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
